“Beauty Speaks. Beauty Invites. Beauty Nourishes. Beauty Comforts. Beauty Inspires. Beauty is transcendent. Beauty draws us to God.”

As an image bearer I reflect the things that Christ reflects. I embody all of these things.

I speak. I invite.

I nourish. I comfort.

I inspire. I am transcendent.

I draw others to God.

“Beauty flows from a heart at rest.”

One morning while I was journaling I posed the question, “ what will it take to get me to a place of rest” for myself.

My answer was simple, but requires a lot of work.

Trust: Complete and utter trust in the Father.

Confidence: Knowing that God dwells in me and that I posses His qualities. Beauty and comfort in who I am and who I’ve been created to be.

Deeper Faith: Spending less time worrying about things and how they are going to work out. Really learning to walk by faith and not by sight.

“A woman of true beauty is a woman who in the depths of her soul is at rest, trusting God because she has come to know Him to be worthy of her trust. She excludes a sense of calm, a sense of rest, and invites those around her to rest as well. She speaks comfort; she knows that we live in a world at war, that we have a vicious energy, and our journey is through a broken world. But she also knows that because God all is well, that all will be well. A woman of true beauty offers the grace to be and the room to become.” – Captivating

This is the woman that I know that I have to become. The woman that in order for others to walk in who they are destined to be I must be. I’m at a place where I know that I’m not just trying to be “big headed” or “all about me” but this is reality.

I am going to be used to change the lives of many.

I’m currently at a place where it is a pleasure and an honor to have that responsibility. To be used by the Lord in such a beautiful way. I don’t know how I’m going to influence or empower others or what avenue the Lord is going to have use me in. I do know it all starts with trusting the Father.

As women, what do we need to trust the Father with?

We need to trust:

  • That we have and carry beauty
  • That what He says about us is true.
  • Trust Him with how things will go when we offer our beauty to the world
  • Trust Him when it hurts.
  • Trust Him when were seen and enjoyed.

COME ALIVE SO OTHERS WILL COME ALIVE

I’m not sure why I felt that I needed to share this. It’s not my normal kind of post, but today beauty has been on my mind. I’ll now get off my beauty soap box and will continue on with my day. However, somewhere in the back of my mind I will be thinking of the beauty that I possess, and how can I use it for good. I encourage you to do the same.
